ProNC dnc software development team is a small but happy
band based in the South Yorkshire town of Barnsley in the

| The
ProNC story started in 1995 when the main UK Teksoft CAD/CAM
distributor, was unable to find reliable Windows based CNC
communications, able to cope with the many and varied CNC
machine tools out there. |
| As a result, development
work started on the ProNC software solution. The evolution
of the software is a result of customer driven needs.
We found that to be able to communicate with such a large
variety of different types of CNC tool from a variety of
different manufacturers needed extremely flexible programs
that gave the user total control of the many communication
parameters necessary for both "easy" and "difficult"
controllers. We quickly realised the many thousands
of ways that CNC machine tools were setup ! |
| ProEZNC
and ProEZDNC ("EZ" as in "easy") were
borne out of our belief that engineering companies were
paying far too much money for DNC software. We can sell
our software at a much more realistic price because our
customers try our software before they buy. If they
like it (and most do!) then our support costs are automatically
reduced - these cost reductions are passed on to our customers. |
| Every
single line of code has been written by ourselves. We do
not now, nor will we ever in the future, outsource any part
of our software to third-world or eastern european companies
simply to reduce costs, as we believe we can create better,
more user-friendly software and still provide the best support
here in the UK and Worldwide. |
